Good
The view from the pool And the room was clean.
The location, if you don’t have a scooter , you need to rely on taxis (expensive) - the hotel offers taxi to the town center. There is no elevator and we had ants in our bed , not so nice. The breakfast was not good - small selection and not very tasty.

What was the highlight of Tanote Villa
Wonderful
The place was great and the staff was friendly. It was just not the professional service you could expect in an European hotel. Instead the people are really honestly friendly. It's just different. But since this is Thailand and also you pay much less you get real well cleaned rooms, good food and an extraordinary location, view and experience.
During dinner times the staff at the restaurant is clearly overworked. They don't even try to bring out the food at the same time. My brother was finished with his whole meal 15 minutes before I got mine.

Wonderful
One of the best hotel on Koh Tao, as per my opinion. Perfect location, picturesque territory, friendly staff. I would like to say special thanks to Belle — receptionist, who was very kind and considerate and helped me and treated several small cuts. Tanote is a bit far from the town (so you depend on transfer), but if you like snorkeling and relaxation it is the best choice. I spent my vacation second time at this hotel and hope to come back again. Thank you very much for all staff :)

There was a small problem with the sewer system in the area. Not sure it was hotel or nieghboring properties where smell would waft over to the hotel??
